At its core, Startup Science exists to make startup success simpler, smarter, and more equitable. And today, I’m excited to share an important step forward in that mission:
We’ve officially acquired Startup Stack.
For those who don’t know it, Startup Stack is a founder-loved platform that offers over 400 curated software deals, which save startups more than $3.5 million collectively.
What impressed me most wasn’t just the quality of the platform, but the philosophy behind it. Startup Stack wasn’t built as a business-first venture. It was built during the chaos of COVID, as a resource and an act of service for struggling founders. That kind of intention is rare. And powerful.
“We acquired Startup Stack to supercharge our mission of empowering founders at scale,” I said in our official release. “Founders shouldn’t waste time hunting for tools or burn precious capital on overpriced software. Startup Stack solves that, and now it’s part of a bigger vision.”
That vision is simple but ambitious:
To reduce fragmentation in the founder journey and build a seamless path from idea to exit.
Now, instead of switching between platforms, founders can access Startup Stack’s deals directly inside the Startup Science ecosystem, right alongside structured education, funding tools, and founder community.
We’re also welcoming Jonathan Engle, Startup Stack’s founder, as our new Head of Marketplace at Startup Science. Jonathan brings a rare mix of startup grit, ecosystem insight, and systems-level thinking. He’s lived the early-stage hustle and built with founders in mind every step of the way.
“Joining forces with Startup Science was a natural progression of our vision,” said Jonathan. “I’m thrilled to show the world what we’ll build together.”
Why This Matters
Founders are overwhelmed.
Too many tools. Too little guidance. Not enough support.
This acquisition is about solving that with increased clarity.
We’re not just adding features. We’re building infrastructure for modern entrepreneurship. One platform. One login. One mission: increase the success rate of startups.
And we’re just getting started.
